When intense hail storms leave vehicles severely dented, insurance companies often default to declaring them a total loss. For over a decade, The Hail Shop USA has helped drivers challenge unfair valuations and navigate total loss options. We audit your file, identify missed dents, and stand between you and a lowball settlement check.

If your vehicle is totaled by hail, you generally have two choices:

• The Buy-Back (Owner Retention): You keep the car and receive a payout check minus the calculated auction salvage value. We then perform specialized PDR to fix your car, frequently leaving you with a restored vehicle and extra cash in your pocket.
• Take the Money: You hand over the keys and title to the insurance carrier in exchange for an Actual Cash Value (ACV) check.

Insurance payouts are determined using localized market analytics platforms to map your car’s exact condition before the storm. If you choose to walk away and let the insurance provider keep the vehicle, it will receive a branded salvage title and be sent to wholesale insurance auctions for commercial parts recycling or fleet rebuilds.
